Judgment Begins In The House of God!

Not all leaders are leaders just because they say so, and not all leaders are your leaders.

Discern the difference so that you add God’s gifts to your life, so that you may grow in the commission and walk in unaltered peace.

“Judgement begins in the House of God!”

Notice how this statement is often thunderously directed towards the congregation, yet it is the leaders we see falling.

A lot is happening in the church today, and much of it has little to do with the Great Commission. Instead, it reflects each leader’s interpretation of how to conduct church, often straying from Biblical principles and directives, becoming territorial.

But the Lord is God; He doesn’t attend our elders meetings on our request.

We follow him, not the other way around.

We must all humble ourselves to his direction, wherever it leads, especially when he doesn’t keep things the same in spirit.

Joshua once asked, “Are you for us or our enemies?” The Lord replied, “Neither; I AM THE CAPTAIN.”

For some, this might border on heresy, especially in churches that see themselves as the sole voice of God.

I share this because I have witnessed the suffering of the Lord’s people, and now I understand the Lord’s stance against all the elements that restrain His Church.

Internally, I am growing in the same stance of no longer tolerating misguided leadership.

For now, I leave you with a thought that came to me in prayer in the form of a question:

“Lord, what do you have against the leadership?”

This is what I heard back;

“They make my people forget my presence.”
